The Dubai International Film Festival started yesterday, and George Clooney was in town, as his movie, Michael Clayton, was shown on the opening evening.

Unfortunately I couldn't get any tickets for that movie, but I went to see "Aux frontières de la nuit" (Night Shadows), an Algerian and Swiss production, tonight.
It was nice for a change to see something different than those usual
American Blockbuster Movies, but that's it.
After reading so much about "Aux frontières de la nuit" and that it was one of the top ten movies of the festival, I was a
little bit disappointed.
If this one is in the top ten, how bad are than
the others?
I would have loved to go and see some more (espcially as the tickets are so cheap AED 25.-) but I don't have the time to do so. Maybe next year, if we should still be here....
